The oil collector tube creates a circular movement on the water surface. This sets the floating oil in motion which is captured by the oil collector tube and transported into the oil skimmer. The floating oil moves on the water surface and will be attracted by the oil collector tube and transported into the oil skimmer. In the oil skimmer, the oil is stripped from the surface of the oil collector tube and discharged into a waste oil collection tank. The oil skimmer can be mounted up to 10 m high above the water surface. Due to its particularly durable construction, the Model 1S oil skimmer can be used without any problems in continuous operation. In order to prevent premature wear caused by solids in the oil, such as sand, chips and dirt particles, all components in contact with the oil intake hose are made of highly wear-resistant ceramic. With the exception of the drive wheel, the oil skimmer itself is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The Model 1S oil skimmer can be optimally adapted to the individual application, as the length of the oil intake hose is custom-made. Depending on the oil viscosity and thickness of the oil layer, a capacity of up to 30 l/h can be achieved. The extensive range of accessories allows the Model 1S oil skimmer to be adapted to the specific application.
