The Friess magnetic grid FMG removes particles from coolant, cutting oil, grinding oil and other process fluids. Particles, which are smaller than the pore size of the filter media, will pass through the filter together with the fluid. The number of small particles in the fluid will thus grow continuously. The Friess magnetic grid FMG removes even these ferritic particles of all sizes down to 1 µm.
The Friess magnetic grid FMG removes particles made of iron or steel. In addition, paramagnetic particles of stainless steel or hard metal are attracted by the magnetic filter rods and removed from the liquid.
Just put the Friess magnetic grid FMG into the coolant tank. Place the magnetic grid before the intake of the pump. The fluid that is drawn into the pump will flow through the magnetic grid. The liquid flows along the outer surfaces of the magnetic filter bars. The dirt particles are attracted by the magnetic filter bars and will stick to the surface of the magnetic filter bars. The cleaned fluid then flows through the pump and back into the machine. Due to the special design of the flow and the high magnetic force of the magnetic filter rods, the Friess magnetic grid FMG is able to remove even smallest ferritic particles down to 1 µm. In order to clean the Friess magnetic grid FMG just scrape off the collected dirt particles with the supplied special tool.
